While enterprises continue to own and operate in-house datacenters, their use of colocation and other outsourcing services is growing fast. Demand for colocation and wholesale datacenters, with their readily available space and power, their professional operations teams and, increasingly, their rich connectivity and value-added offerings, has never been stronger. 451 Research forecasts that the operational square footage of the global colocation and wholesale sector will grow at a healthy 7% CAGR from 2017 to 2020.

Enterprises in Asia Pacific now run multiple clouds with sizeable workloads, and cloud technologies have become increasingly challenging to manage. While IT organizations seek specialized expertise to keep pace with the constant change and complexity, what they are met with instead, is a global shortage of skilled cloud experts. As the costs in recruiting and training talent rises, the situation escalates into a hurdle to implementing cloud strategies.
To better understand the cost of cloud expertise, Rackspace teamed up with the London School of Economics (LSE) and independent research house Vanson Bourne, to research on the severity of the problem. This e-book covers the findings to provide thought-provoking insights into why you should drive your cloud journey along the managed cloud provider route, if you were to be caught in a no-win HR loop.
However, big data and analytics solutions can have shortcomings. Proprietary and best-of-breed approaches can require valuable time and resources to build, integrate and maintain — while outsourcing data analytics can constrain reporting frequency and timeliness. In a world where operational efficiency and fast, reliable information is paramount, these limitations can put payers at a competitive disadvantage.
Finding the right IT service provider is not as simple as it may seem. Choosing a service provider based exclusively on low price may be good for your bottom line, but may fall short on delivering the right level of IT expertise and resource scalability for long-term advantage.
With the current state of the economy, IT executives are being asked to stretch their budgets in order to keep their businesses profitable. In 2008, Median IT spending per user fell to $6,667 from the previous year's $7,397, according to Computer Economics. This represents a 6.2% reduction, consistent with the fact that IT managers were supporting an increasing number of users without corresponding increases in IT spending. IT spend continued to decline in 2009 and uncertainty and caution is still prevalent in 2010.
Email is the primary communication system and file transport mechanism used in organizations of all sizes. Email systems generate enormous amounts of content that must be preserved for a variety of reasons, including:
-Compliance with local, state, federal and international statutory requirements
- Electronic discovery requirements and best practices
- Knowledge management applications
- Disaster recovery and business continuity
Microsoft Exchange Server has been a crucial technological breakthrough in advanced corporate communication systems. Companies who utilize an enterprise-class email server like Exchange believe that email is mission critical, and value the productivity it enables. But an in-house migration to Exchange 2007 from an earlier version of Exchange or another email program will not be an easy task. Complexity, time and cost issues loom large over the IT department and are causing IT directors to search for an alternative solution.
Much has already been said and written about the infiltration of robotic process automation (RPA) and intelligent automation (IA) technologies into the workforce. In truth, it’s taken the corporate world a while to test, trust and commit to automation at work.
To understand how far APAC/ANZ markets have advanced towards acting on these opportunities, the Shared Services and Outsourcing Network (SSON) surveyed the market and found that across the region corporations were forward thinking in building for scale, trusting technology and recognising the need to incorporate robotics into both IT infrastructure and enterprise strategy.
This report explains how enterprises across APAC/ANZ are staying ahead of the global wave of RPA, the most popular solutions they are choosing, who the preferred consultants or 'integrators' are, the challenges, and how the digital workforce is being integrated into the human one.

Data security is a top concern these days. In a world of privacy regulation, intellectual property theft, and cybercrime, ensuring data security and protecting sensitive enterprise data is crucial.
Only a data masking solution can secure vital data and enable outsourcing, third-party analysis, and cloud deployments. But more often than not, masking projects fail. Some of the best data masking tools bottleneck processes and once masked, data is hard to move and manage across the application development lifecycle.
Human resources outsourcing is still a relatively new concept for many organizations, resulting in a number of perceived and actual risks; however, if these risks are understood and addressed early on, it can lead to a successful, strategic relationsh
